Julia Jäger’s career started off very well, thanks to a fine performance in her debut, the drama Erster Verlust, which even earned the then 20-year-old a Max-Ophüls-Award as best young actress. After starring in 1991’s highly successful comedy Karniggels, directed by Detlev Buck (Männerpension), Julia took a four year time-out from the movie-biz and started studying acting at the theater school in Leipzig.
